The Televisa Foundation, Inc., a company located at 501 Brickell Key Drive, Suite 401, Miami, Florida 33131, is responsible for this website “Learn With el Chavo” or “Aprende con el Chavo” and its related applications (hereinafter “App” and collectively with this website, the “Services”). This Data Use and Privacy Policy is intended to inform you about the information we collect about you through the Services, how we use that data, what steps we take to protect that data, and how you can contact us.

2. The Information We Collect
  • 2.1. Personal Information. You may choose to give us personal information about you when you create an account, participate in a sweepstakes or contest or any other promotion, or interact with us in any way. This information may include your complete name and email address. The decision to provide this information is optional. However, if you choose not to provide the requested information, you may not be able to use some or all of the features of our Services. Other companies may also forward to us additional personal information (such as, for example, the state and country of your residence, as well as demographic and other usage information).

3. Our Use and Disclosure of Information

The information we collect and receive (as described above), including personal information, will be used only to permit the Televisa Foundation, its employees, affiliates and service providers (including but not limited to Washa Washa) to administer the Services and the downloading of applications and content; to contact you as part of customer support, to send you news and updates of the Services and new applications; to manage your account, for data analysis when the Services are being used; to send information to parents regarding their children’s scores and progress; to administer your participation in contests, sweepstakes and promotions; to send relevant information related to the Services; and to contact you regarding future services and programs of the Televisa Foundation. The information will not be transferred to any third parties other than the Televisa’s Foundation’s Service Providers (including but not limited to Washa Washa) that assist in administering the Services (as further described in the Service Providers section below), our Affiliates (as defined and further described in the Other Transfers section below) and law enforcement (as further described in the Compliance with Laws and Law Enforcement section below).
  • 3.2. Service Providers. From time to time, we may establish a business relationship with other businesses whom we believe trustworthy and who have confirmed that their privacy practices are consistent with ours (“Service Providers”). For example, we may contract with Service Providers to provide certain services, such as hosting and maintenance, data storage and management, and marketing and promotions. We only provide our Service Providers with the information necessary for them to perform these services on our behalf. Each Service Provider must agree to use reasonable security procedures and practices, appropriate to the nature of the information involved, in order to protect your Personal Information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. Service Providers are prohibited from using Personal Information other than as specified by us.

If Television Foundation is merged, acquired, or sold, or in the event of a transfer of some or all of our assets, we may disclose or transfer Personal Information and usage data in connection with such transaction. You will have the opportunity to opt out of any such transfer if, in our discretion, it will result in the handling of your Personal Information in a way that differs materially from this Privacy Policy.
  • 3.4. Compliance with Laws and Law Enforcement. We may cooperate with government and law enforcement officials and private parties to enforce and comply with the law. We may access, read, preserve, and disclose your Personal Information and non-personal information to government or law enforcement officials or private parties if, in our sole discretion, we believe it is necessary or appropriate in order to (i) satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request (including court orders and subpoenas), (ii) investigate potential violations of, or enforce the terms of service or terms of use for our Services; (iii) detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues, (iv) respond to user support requests, (v) protect the safety, property, or rights of our company, our users, or of any third party, or (vi) prevent or stop any illegal, unethical, or legally actionable activity. Your information and data (including Personal Information) will be transferred to, and stored and maintained on, servers in Mexico. Privacy laws in Mexico may not be as protective as those in your jurisdiction; however, whenever we transfer your information, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place in relation to maintaining its security. Irrespective of which country you reside in or supply information from, you authorize us to store and/or use the information according to this Privacy Policy in Mexico.

Televisa Foundation will use reasonable and appropriate measures to protect your data from unauthorized access or use, including encryption while the data is stored. However, no data storage or transmission over the Internet or other network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Accordingly, we do not guarantee that information will not be accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed by breach of any of the abovementioned safeguards.

6. Term

Your data will be retained for up to one year after it is collected, after which it will be securely destroyed, deleted, or otherwise rendered unreadable and/or inaccessible; provided, we may retain information after such one-year period if retention of such information is reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations, meet regulatory requirements, resolve disputes with or between users, or prevent fraud.

7. Managing Your Information Preferences.

You may find out what information the Televisa Foundation has about you and to whom we may have disclosed it, or direct any other questions or concerns regarding this Privacy Policy, by contacting us at You may also contact us at these same addresses to request that we delete, update, or correct any information that we possess about you, or to request that we no longer contact you. You can opt out of receiving certain marketing e-mail by using the unsubscribe option contained within such e-mail. 8. Privacy Policy Changes

From time to time, we may revise this Data Use and Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our information collection, use, and security practices. We will post any updated versions of the Policy on this website. If you object to any changes to the Privacy Policy, you should immediately stop using the Services and close any related accounts. 9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

We are not responsible for the content, maintenance, availability, or practices or policies of those sites if they are not owned or operated by the Televisa Foundation.

11. Children’s Privacy. We do not intend to collect personal information of any children under age 13 in a manner that is not permitted by the U.S. Children’s Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”). If you believe we have collected or are using your child’s information without your consent, please contact us at and we will discontinue that account, and remove the associated personal information to the extent required by COPPA.
